24 Weeks: Lots to Update!

R: First of all, how incredibly beautiful does my wife look!? I think pregnancy definitely looks great on her. And those kids are definitely growing as you can tell by the seedless watermelon under Janae's shirt. Also, thank goodness that the first thing you see when you come to this page is no longer the fat man below- he's just not doin' it for me anymore. So, lets get on with all the fun new news...
1. Our week 24 ultrasound went extremely well. The kids are growing like weeds- the girl is right at 1 1/2 lbs, and the boy aka "Hoss" is 1 3/4 lbs! Our favorite ultrasound tech did not perform the u/s and instead we had a less experienced tech that tried really hard but couldn't get any real good pictures. She was nice enough to do a 4D u/s, but as some of you know those things can be downright scary at times and things can be distorted. Janae's most recent worry is that the boy will have a big schnoz (nose), though I've tried to reassure her that everything in utero is all squooshed together. I guess we'll have to wait and see!
2. WE HAVE NAMES! We finally decided on names though we are not 100% decided on spellings yet. So, the girl will henceforth be known as "Vivienne Pearl Sureja" and the young man will be "Gabriel Mattox Sureja"
3. I am on the job search trail which is going very well. There are several offers on the table so now its up to me and Janae to decide which seems like the best long term option for us and the kids. We will keep you posted...
4. We decided on the car... we are going with the Buick Enclave (thanks to everyone who voted) Janae picked the Cocoa Metallic color thats pictured below, which of course I think is hilarious since that's one more brown thing in her life in addition to her husband, two brown dogs, and her two half brown babies!
5. The nursery is near completion! The walls have been painted, the floor finished, rug placed, and the two cribs assembled. The only things left are the dresser/changing table and the chair/ottoman which are on order. Will post pics once its all here.
6. We are currently at "critical situation" level with a ladybug infestation in our attic. For the past few weeks we have noticed more and more ladybugs chillin' in the attic office. Up until now, we have been opening up the window and putting them outside. However, Janae accidently knocked the screen out of the window last night and its sitting on the side porch roof. As cute as those ladybugs are, they're getting to be a hassle and it may be time to bring out the big guns.

We hope everyone is doing well. I apologize for taking so long to post a blog since my last post but I was addicted to Monk-e-mail on careerbuilder.com for a while. Check it out and you'll see why!

Beer Belly or Pregnant with Twins?

J: We are going to take another picture of the babies in my belly and post it soon...but suffice it too say, I have definitely "popped" . I have passed the point of people questioning if I am pregnant and arrived at the point where people say anything and do anything they please. Not that I am complaining. I love being pregnant and am so in love with the twins, but I have certainly had a few giggles in last week: In the past week....
1. I met a pregnant lady at Best Buy, she was past her due date and her husband said "Well you must be just about there too"....(I am 22.5 weeks)
2. I have had someone tell me I had gotten "fatter" overnight.
3. I had a random attending doctor, who I had never met, rub my belly and ask when I was due
4. A shackled prisoner and his 2 guards who asked me if I was going to scan him or myself.
5. A tech that asked if I was having trouble breathing.
6. A cirrhotic patient who looked not unlike the above man (we were actually draining fluid from his belly to make him more comfortable) who said that my belly looked the same as his.
