Butterflies in the Park

Yesterday we went to Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens for the Butterfly exhibit. The butterflies were beautiful, but the kids were mainly interested in flowers, dirt, and the other kids! They did NOT like sitting for photos either!

Touch a Truck

Today we took the kids to "Touch a Truck" in Richmond, where they have a ton of different construction vehicles, fire engines, ambulances, cement trucks, and police cars that the kids can climb into and explore. Gabe & Vivi had a great time!

Reckless stroller ride

Vivi decided to get into her little doll stroller at which point Gabe started pushing her across the room... first running her into a wall and then into a chair!

Vivi's new bag

Viv was walking around carrying an empty gift bag like it was a purse. We think it was because she always sees Janae grab her purse right before she heads off to work in the morning. So we bought her an actual little girl purse which she slings over her shoulder and walks around saying "Bye bye" just like mom does when she leaves.

The funny thing is, one day I couldn't find my cell phone so I called it from the home phone. I heard it ringing and after looking for a few seconds, I found it in Vivi's purse along with two hairbrushes and some junk mail that she had stashed in there!

Showing some love for her bro

Vivi kept grabbing Gabriel's bib during lunch and I didn't know what she wanted until she started leaning in and making kissy sounds. It was too cute!

Future chefs in the making!

The kids recently received a Sizzle & Serve play kitchen from Ba & Bapuji. I filmed them seeing it for the first time after it was put together- they loved it! Viv's reaction was priceless. It has a grill that has a fake flames that light up and makes noise when they push the grill button, and a stove top that makes cooking sounds (like water boiling and a tea kettle going off). There's also an ice dispenser for plastic ice cubes, dishes, cups, utensils, pans, and plenty of plastic food.

Sorry for the lack of updates- things have been hectic with Janae studying for boards!
